As the Senior High Voltage Manager, APAC reporting to the Utility & Power Manager (who is based in Sydney) you will work closely with Technology, Development and Operations teams, making your mark in several ways:

• Drive the Design and Construction of our high voltage (HV) systems to AirTrunk’s standard, exceeding local standards and requirements.
• Provide practical solutions to development problems, predominately electrical, but use your HV and Substation experience to facilitate practical HV arrangements and building solutions.
• Control the HV network topology during stage implementation construction works through to commissioning.
• Control the HV budget.

Your Day to Day

• Develop AirTrunk’s HV development on site networks both existing and new to exceed local code requirements and industry best practice.
• Develop and manage the HV network design on new and existing AirTrunk networks, advising on primary, secondary, SCADA, earthing and DC systems
• Provide continual improvement to the existing HV systems designs by collaborating with the technology team during early design phases.
• Specify and review AirTrunk’s HV network owner supplied assets to all applicable specifications and required standards
• Negotiate at a technical level with supply authorities through the development process.
• Supervise and collaborate with the general site contractor to ensure practical build solutions, on time, on budget and to approved Airtrunk requirements.
• Work with Site Specialist in the resolution of incident related, standing, or emerging problems which fall outside of the local operations capacity
• Prepare or review MOP’s in conjunction with the Site Specialist for stage implementation of existing networks.
• Budget control of approved budgets, Identifying cost saving opportunities and system improvements
• Assist in the successful resolve of post construction related punch list items
• Assist project and commissioning engineers with electrical related issues when required
• Assist if required, the authorising engineer specialist support to site teams
• Assist technology department reviews and provide operational guidance to designs

Requirements

• Extensive experience with a utility or in electrical contracting as a HV Engineer, minimum 10 years
• Extensive HV substation design and construction experience.
• Excellent technical knowledge of HV systems and assets such as switchgear, transformers, protection relays, DC systems, SCADA systems and HV networks.
• Flexible and organised to manage workload to meet deadlines
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work across different teams such as design, development and data centre operations teams
• Ability to interpret and correct electrical drawings and specifications utilising AutoCAD
• Willingness to travel throughout Asia-Pacific; previous APAC experience preferred
• Strong English communicator and ability to interact with all professional levels within an organisation.
• Professional attitude with persuasive skills in making things happen
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD

This is a greenfield opportunity to craft our approach to tax reporting regionally in a rapidly growing business.

Your Day to Day

In this role, your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Managing tax reporting obligations for the group across the Asia Pacific region including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and India;
• Leading all aspects of all tax reporting across direct taxes, indirect taxes, employee taxes and transfer pricing;
• Driving continuous operational improvements;
• Seeking opportunities for automation;
• Establishing a framework for data analytics, policies & procedures and risk management
• Forecasting positions for the region including consideration of new laws such as thin capitalisation and Pillar 2;
• Reviewing the individual jurisdictions’ effective tax rate on an interim basis;
• Contributing to the team’s implementation of the group’s country by country reporting across the region;
• Continuing to maintain & enhance our global transfer pricing framework and models;
• Contributing to designing processes & controls for our global tax fixed asset register project, platform integration & implementation in the Asia Pacific region;
• Conducting operational reviews of our positions across the region; and
• Providing support on ad hoc tax advisory matters.

Requirements

• 7-10 years’ experience in a similar tax role;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;Appropriate professional qualifications (CA or equivalent, Solicitor’s admission etc);
• Proven track record to work independently to complete strategic priorities; and
• A self-starter with a growth mindset.

A Snapshot

As the Regional Data Centre Director reporting directly to the Global Head of Data Centre Operations, you will work closely with the Operations team, making your mark in a number of ways:

· Oversees all aspects of data centre operations including the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission critical equipment and systems supporting a 24x7 data centre operation to achieve 100% uptime and compliance with customer SLAs.

· Provides support and technical advice to the Data Centre Operations Directors and site teams in all aspects of their roles to ensure efficient and successful data centre operations

Your Day to Day

· Reports and documents operational strategy improvements to ensure the highest level of availability and operational efficiency is achieved for the portfolio.

· Acts as a key escalation contact, both internally and externally, for emergency events impacting data centre services including technical, operational and security.

· Provides support to the Data Centre Directors and site teams to facilitate emergency responses procedures, resource coordination, customer communication, root cause analysis and post event remediation.

· Develop strong relationships with customer operational management contacts.

· Provides support to drive thorough root cause analysis and produce detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders

· In conjunction with Data Centre Directors and site teams responsible for contractual compliance, including SLA management, for 3rd party vendors including; FM Services, Smart Hands & Security vendors as well as any other 3rd party vendors (including soft services) engaged directly by AirTrunk.

· Responsible for managing internal audits of standard operating procedures, sequence of operations and maintenance standards to guarantee compliance with AirTrunk and industry standards.

· Oversees the local change management processes and other documentation required by law, e.g. SWMS, including review and approval of Method of Procedures (MOPs) to support the Facilities Managers

· Ensures adherence to security programs across the data centre portfolio. • In conjunction with Data Centre Directors and site teams responsible for ensuring the operating standards of the data centre supports various accreditation initiatives, including, but not limited to, ISO 27001, SOC1, SOC 2 etc. as may be required by AirTrunk.

· Oversees data centre operations to maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements including environmental, building, fire, electrical, hydraulic, occupational health & safety.

· Supports the Operations Directors with OPEX/CAPEX budgeting, forecasting and reporting requirements.

· Ensures data centre budgets stay within financial targets.

· Ensures adherence to financial control procedures for the data centres.

· Presents improvements that generate operational and financial efficiencies, including the development and presentation of the business case, to the wider Management team.

· Prepares reporting of operational metrics, data and risks for Management oversight and control for both day-to-day reporting and long-term trend analysis.

· Support the Global Head of Operations for the overall strategic planning, long term goals and management responsibilities of the Operations Team.

· This role is the direct line manager for the Operations Directors and is responsible for ensuring optimum data centre performance across the portfolio

Requirements

· 7 years or more experience in a critical facilities environment is a must

· 3 years or more experience directly managing employees

· Procurement and contract negotiation experience

· Electrical or mechanical trade background not essential but highly desirable

· Leadership & Communication Skills – Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret complex operational documents

· Ability to establish and review Method of Procedure documents, incident reports, emergency event summaries, root cause analysis reports, CAPEX/OPEX budget forecasts/reports and O&M manuals.

· Ability to deliver effective presentations on data centre operations to customers, peers and management

· Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints from customers, peers and management

· Ability to manage with positive influence and motivate employees and customers to obtain desired levels of performance

· Ability to understand the need to place the team’s, company’s or customer’s goal over personal individual goals.

· Strong quantitative and qualitative reasoning ability with experience in determining root causes, performance shortfalls and required corrective actions.

· Experience managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets and variance analytics.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office package – Word, Excel, Outlook, Project & Visio

· Experience managing systems such as Customer Portals, BMS, Computerised Maintenance Management Systems

As the Maintenance Services Manager (MSM) reporting to our Senior Technical Service Manager (STSM), you will work closely with our Operations team, making an impact in a number of ways:

• Supporting the STSM in relation to all aspects of data centre operations to achieve 100% uptime and compliance with customer SLAs
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of managers, technicians and third party vendors to plan, manage and supervise maintenance activities, both planned and reactive, on a nominated site

Please note this role will be based in our data centre in Singapore.

Your Day to Day

The MSM is responsible for the day to day leadership of the team of technicians of the site, reporting and raising issues/tasks to the STSM and as required;

• Ensure site resources are efficiently and effectively managed inclusive of technical, non-technical aspects and 24/7 technical operational staff. Ensure services are continually provided and all leave is planned, coordinated and covered
• Supervise and manage the technical on-site team members to ensure optimal performance is being achieved
• Setting performance goals for the technician team, as well as the development, coaching, and counselling of the team members
• Handle, investigate and resolve complex technical issues and incidents which arise at the site
• Ensure alignment to site operating procedures (SOP, MOP, EOP) and any other documentation required by law, e.g. SWMS
• Prepare and maintain asset maintenance plans and tasks up to date with new equipment and revised maintenance or regulatory requirements
• Management of planned maintenance, repairs and upgrade, activities ensuring that all works have an appropriate supervision structure in place. This includes attendance outside of normal working hours at any time required.
• Prepare and or review all change management procedures, maintain up to date library of switching and isolation procedures. Identify and provide training to staff where required to ensure they are appropriately skilled for tasks performed on site.
• Maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements including environmental, building, fire, electrical, hydraulic, occupational health & safety
• Primary operational contact for vendors, secondary for customers and local point of escalation during emergency events and day-to-day operations
• Coordinate and prepare change requests using systems provided in accordance with customer change policies and service level expectations
• Attend and perform all critical switching, isolation of services at the site so that equipment is by-passed to allow maintenance to be performed. This includes attendance outside of normal working hours at any time required.
• Supervise operational metrics, data and analyse risks
• Conduct regular property inspections
• Take part in the 'on call' incident response roster

Requirements

• 5+ years of mechanical and electrical experience in data centres (preferred), facilities, engineering operations, trades or related fields
• Ability to establish and review Method of Procedure documents, incident reports, emergency event summaries, root cause analysis reports, and O&M manuals
• Ideally, successfully run 3rd party service providers and negotiate quote/pricing for services
• Familiar with working with Customer Portals, BMS, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
• Excellent collaborator with strong communication skills in English and Mandarin
• Exceptionally flexible, forward-thinking and motivated by change
• Effective customer management skills and meeting chair experience

As Technical Services Manager (TSM) reporting to our Senior Technical Service Manager (STSM), you will work closely with our Operations team including Building Services Manager (BSM), making an impact in a number of ways:

• Supporting the STSM in relation to all aspects of data centre operations to achieve 100% uptime and compliance with customer SLAs
• The primary point of contact for the site Facilities Provider, supervising FM Services, Smart Hands & Security vendors as well as any other third-party vendors (including soft services) engaged directly by AirTrunk.
• Supporting the BSM in property related services

Please note, this role will be based in our data centre in Singapore.

Your Day to Day

Either a portion of the data centre site or a portfolio of customers will be allocated to each Technical Service Manager (TSM). The TSM then runs this sub-section of the site, reporting and raising issues/tasks to the STSM as required;

• Lead and manage all aspects of the planning and coordination of all preventive maintenance and repair works; OPEX budget, ensure change management, incident management procedures and safety requirements are followed; coordinate activities as required with customers
• Coordinate with the Development team to run construction activity and installations, to ensure system design, installation and testing adhere to operational standards
• Ensure adherence to site operating procedures (SOP, MOP, EOP, security) and any other documentation required by law, e.g. RA, SWMS and EHS
• Ensure compliance with site held accreditations, including, but not limited to, ISMS, ISO9001, ISO14001, SOC2, PCI.
• Maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements including environmental, building, fire, electrical, hydraulic, occupational health & safety
• Monitor and manage the performance of outsourced services vendors and contractors, including cleaning of plant, equipment, pipework and plant rooms, etc.
• Primary operational contact for customers and local point of escalation during emergency events and day-to-day operations. Issue reports, change and incident notices as when required.
• Attend witness testing of all equipment during commissioning to validate sequence of operations and receipt of all operational documentation
• Manage the provisioning of data centre services including connectivity, power services, deployment and any additional services to be delivered to customers
• Lead minor capital projects for customers/internal purposes
• Supervise operational metrics, data and analyse risks
• Conduct regular property inspections, including all critical facilities, building, fixtures, fitting which include concrete or structural elements and architectural finishing supporting by the Building Services Manager (BSM)
• Implement and administer inventory control programs/purchase parts and supplies

Requirements:

• 5+ years of mechanical and electrical experience in data centres (preferred), facilities, engineering operations, building monitoring systems, trades or related fields
• Excellent collaborator with strong communication skills in English
• Ability to establish and review Method of Procedure documents, maintenance reports, incident reports, emergency event summaries, root cause analysis reports, and O&M manuals
• Able to read and comprehend single line diagrams
• Ideally, successfully run 3rd party service providers and negotiate quote/pricing for services
• Familiar with working with Customer Portals, BMS, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. CAD is a plus.
• Exceptionally flexible, forward-thinking and motivated by change
• Effective customer management skills and meeting chair experience
• Experience of LV WR2, HV WR2 and maintenance of fire service installation

As Senior Cost Manager reporting to our Head of Cost, you will work closely with the rest of the Development team, making an impact in a number of ways:

• Lead all aspects of construction estimates and build costs that are business-critical for our hyper-scale data centre projects in Asia Pacific Region
• Develop and document costs/estimating to phase & project objectives and results

Your Day to Day

• Work closely with in region General Contractor and QS partners to deliver construction estimates to approved cost, time, and quality measures and own the development of these measures for the program
• Clearly communicate any construction cost constraints to the project team
• Collaborate with Engineering Technology & Procurement (OSE) to create and drive detailed cost plans
• Accountable for maintaining construction budgets within their program, speak to and provide an explanation of the overall cost structure.
• Identify, incorporate, and mitigate risks and issues on assigned estimating projects
• Identify recurring issues and trends using metrics data, and work with key partners to find permanent solutions
• Develop standard cost/estimate as needed for repeatable builds within their region or sphere of control and for new customers, vendors, and technologies
• Overall ownership of an ongoing cost input including definition, and performance metrics
• Evaluate the impacts of construction change on other construction constraints. Evaluate multiple options for absorbing the change in order to mitigate the negative impact on the project.
• Maintain cost and estimate reporting and documentation in accordance with standard practices
• Identify value engineering opportunities and incorporate these into the construction budgets and designs

Requirements

• Have successfully cost-estimated and planned processes and procedures for complex large-scale Data Centre construction projects over $500m in capex value, within the APAC region
• Solid understanding of a broad range of construction methodologies, and an intermediate understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to identify and document changes to construction scope and cost
• Can perform detailed analysis at a regional level in order to accurately present construction cost metrics to senior leadership
• Ability to support business cases with concise, data-driven expository documents
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Able to operate with significant autonomy and discretion
• Strong communicator and ability to interact with all professional levels within an organisation
