About the team
Our Mobile Team own both our iOS and Android apps. We’re using the latest technologies like – for iOS: SwiftUI, Combine, Async/Await, and for Android: AndroidX, Coroutines, Hilt, and various Jetpack libraries.
You’ll be joining Airwallex at an exciting time as we build out features of our modern, native iOS and Android apps. These apps allows customers to manage business-to-business global payments, submit and approve expenses, and manage Airwallex virtual and physical cards with features such as Google/Apple Pay wallet integration for making card transactions.
What you’ll do
As an experienced and dedicated Mobile Engineer, you are someone who enjoys building high quality, intuitive, user-friendly and beautiful mobile apps. You’re interested in working as part of a collaborative team that aims to build a great app using established best practices and the latest mobile frameworks.
This role is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Day to day you will contribute to the design of how our mobile apps look and feel, you’ll collaborate with your engineering colleagues to share knowledge and work out the best way of building features to ensure the apps are secure, reliable, tested and always available for our customers.
- As our mobile apps are less than two years old, you’ll have direct impact and influence on the way we scale them up over the next few years.
- In addition to core engineering duties, we actively encourage our engineering community to contribute to the growth of Airwallex generally. Our business is achieving rapid growth with an evolving roadmap, and we want our engineers to play a part in how that happens.
Who you are
We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience developing native mobile apps and experience with Android or iOS development and modern frameworks and practice.
- Bachelor degree or above in computer science or engineering related majors.
- Has deployed one or more apps, ideally currently available in the Google or Apple stores
- Writes testable code with high test coverage, and able to maintain automation pipelines for CI/CD (eg GitHub Actions/Bitrise)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with modern tools like AndroidX
