As a Manager, Product Operations you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our customers, commercial and product teams. You will directly contribute to the direction of Airwallex’s product strategy, proposition and operational functions that will scale our Product organization. This role can be based in our Singapore, Hong Kong, Me offices.

What you will do:

• Drive product-market fit across Airwallex’s entire product suite globally by working closely across product, sales, marketing and strategy teams
• Taking a hands-on approach, build a deep understanding of our customers, market, competitors with commercial and product feedback loops to shape an effective product and commercial strategy
• Build out the operational processes necessary for the wider product organization and cross-functional teams to execute on our strategy at quality, speed and scale through our intense global expansion and growth phase
• Deliver thoroughly researched key recommendations and well-structured updates to senior stakeholders including the CEO, SVP of Product, and wider product and commercial leaders

What you will bring:

• 6+ years of experience in Product, Strategy and/or Operations
• 4+ years experience with top-tier strategy/management consulting firms
• Experience conceptualizing and executing on go-to-market strategies
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, with demonstrated academic achievement
• Self-starter that can identify and prioritize opportunities to focus on - You are willing to roll up sleeves and go deep into the assigned problem
• Track record of collaborating across teams – You can effectively partner with sales, operations, design, marketing, product and data analytics
• Strong written and spoken communication skills - you’re able to articulate complex concepts in a simple way
• Strong analytical and first principles-led problem solving skills
• Technology, financial services and experience in a hyper-growth environment is good to have

As the Associate, Consumer Fraud Risk Operations, you will independently work on real time risk engine optimization initiatives to enhance merchant transaction success rate and reduce merchant’s risk level globally. You will be working within a team environment to serve as a credible partner that makes sound decisions and provides support to team members. Working towards understanding Industry risk idiosyncrasies and providing feedback to model makers and product managers, you will be one of key stakeholders to improve our merchant’s risk performance..

Responsibilities:

• Optimize risk engine rules based on assessment of Airwallex’s merchant fraud & dispute pattern and commercial’s feedback;
• Partner with cross-functional team to monitor risk engine performance and continue to enhance rules’ efficiency and accuracy;
• Support merchant new product launch or sale event by providing best-in-class risk support;
• Work with merchants on fraud or chargeback solutions and leverage the knowledge to provide guidance towards the risk performance improvement plans;
• Provide suggestions on current real time risk control products, policies, and processes in order to improve the risk prevention and operational effectiveness;
• Envisioning and presenting AWX real-time risk solutions to internal and external partners to build up AWX’s risk brand

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in fraud risk function with experience in payment industry or gaming industry;
• Fluent in English and Mandarin;
• Strong data mindset and analytical skills where SQL is a must and Python is preferred
• Deep understanding of real time risk controls and has strong ability to identify the risk and remediation actions;
• Experience in problem-solving, including the ability to recognize non-obvious patterns and out-of-the-box thinking;
• Has strong project management skills for improving rules, models and products;
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment;
• Skills to communicate key risk indicators with non-risk-colleagues are essential;
• Willingness to shift to support merchant sale event is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy strategic Marketing plans aligned with overall business objectives. Identify market opportunities and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy. Monitor industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities.
• Define key performance indicators for Marketing initiatives. Track and analyse campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation regularly.
• Work closely with Marketing leaders and Finance to manage Marketing budgets. Ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximise ROI.
• Partner with leaders from Marketing, Sales, Product, and other functions to ensure cohesive execution of Marketing strategies.
• Play an outsized role in fostering a culture of learning, engagement, and continuous improvement across the team. Operate as a major culture carrier.
• Drive various initiatives around organisational design and own annual planning for the function. Manage executive communication, including quarterly business reviews.

Minimum qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Marketing Strategy or Chief of Staff roles, with a proven track record of successful B2B strategy development and execution. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Must have experience working with top-tier strategy/management consulting firms
• An innovative mindset with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends. An ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfort leading annual planning, budget and headcount management, OKR setting and measurement, quarterly business reviews, and strategy alignment and articulation.
• Innate intellectual curiosity to understand our customers’ problems inside-out and to know how our product offering can help.
• Experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, and an appreciation of the balance between global scale and local nuance.
