Overview

We are seeking an experienced C# Backend Developer to join the Markets IT division of a leading global financial institution. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing a trading platform, building new libraries and frameworks, and contributing to cloud-based transformations. Working in an agile environment, the developer will collaborate with global teams in Singapore and the global, engaging with traders, business owners, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development with expertise in C# and a good understanding of cloud-based solutions (e.g., Azure). Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React and JavaScript is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Backend DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C#.
  Optimize performance, ensure data integrity, and implement secure solutions.
  Contribute to the containerization of applications for cloud deployment.
  
• System Integration & SupportIntegrate financial systems and third-party services for seamless functionality.
  Provide technical support for both development and production environments.
  
• Code Quality & Agile PracticesWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to industry standards.
  Conduct code reviews and support CI/CD pipelines in an agile setup.
  
• Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with global teams, business owners, and stakeholders to gather requirements and propose solutions.
  Regularly update stakeholders on progress through established channels.
  
• Cloud & Frontend Development (Optional)Contribute to cloud-based development using Azure services.
  Collaborate on frontend interfaces with JavaScript and React, as needed.
  

Requirements

• Core Qualifications:10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in backend development
• Expertise in C#.
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB, MS SQL, RabbitMQ, gRPC, and GraphQL.
  Hands-on experience with application containerization and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure).
• Desirable Skills:Familiarity with frontend technologies like JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS.
  Experience in the financial services domain or trading platforms.
