Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SCCM SME Engineer to join a global financial institution’s IT team. This role focuses on managing enterprise-scale SCCM infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting IT operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust configuration management framework to meet the institution's global requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain SCCM infrastructure to support global desktop and server environments.
- Manage tasks such as OS deployment, application packaging, and enterprise patch management.
- Develop and deploy automation scripts to enhance SCCM operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
- Provide Level 3/SME support for SCCM-related issues and manage escalations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline software distribution and endpoint configuration.
- Conduct regular performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of SCCM systems.
- Document SCCM processes and best practices; provide training and mentorship to IT teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 7-10+ years of hands-on experience managing SCCM infrastructure in enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong expertise in SCCM, including:
- OS Deployment (OSD).
- Software Update Management (SUM).
- Application Deployment and Packaging.
- Compliance and Reporting.
Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), Intune, and hybrid SCCM-Intune environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset.
- Knowledge of IT security, compliance, and change management practices.
- Financial services or finance-related work experience is a strong advantage.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are preferred.
