Job Description
- To respond to customer calls to troubleshoot technical problems of medical devices so as to achieve customers’ satisfaction in turnaround time and minimize downtime
- To perform preventive maintenance as scheduled and highlight technical abnormalities to minimize equipment downtime
- To clearly document the technical actions of problems resolved to maintain traceability
- To manage spare parts inventory to ensure sufficient stocks on hand and smooth operations
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Biomedical / Electronics / Electrical Engineering
Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the medical industry (especially IVD or hospital BME departments)
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve problems on electronic and mechanical instrumentation
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to read, interpret and analyze schematics, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Ability to use standard test and calibration equipment including digital multimeter
- Basic software skills and computer literacy (networking experience is advantageous)
- Knowledge of service principles, practices, and procedures
- Good verbal & written communications skills
- Excellent customer service attitude
- Able to be on 24/7 on-call duty (weekly rotation basis with the team), to be activated on weekends and “off hours” as required to support clients and business needs
- Able to travel overseas for technical training by manufacturers (when international travel is permitted again)
