Job Overview:
The Demand Planner is responsible for accurately forecasting customer demand to ensure optimal inventory levels and meet business goals. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective demand planning processes, analyzing market trends and historical data, and continuously improving forecasting accuracy. The Demand Planner plays a crucial role in aligning supply chain operations with customer needs, ultimately contributing to enhanced service levels and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Business Impact: Responsible for handling full accounts of direct customers from forecast to order fulfillment and deliveries. ·
- Data Analysis: Analyze sales data using Excel to ensure accuracy and identify trends and adjust forecast accordingly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with various departments (sales, marketing, supply planners and finance) to align on demand expectations.
- Reporting: Create and present reports and presentations using PowerPoint to communicate forecasts and performance. Provide monthly reports, updates to management via Global S&OP.
- Process and System Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance forecasting processes and tools. · Projects: Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement for supply chain.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in demand planning or forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g. AP, Anaplan, Power BI) and data analysis tools.
- Advanced skills in data analysis, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, with experience in creating professional presentations.
- Experience in developing or improving processes and systems.
