The Human Resource (HR) Analyst will collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance. The HR Analyst plays a key role to leverage and optimize people data and reports to provide insights. This role is an analytical role that will enable the APAC HR Team to meet the requirements to conduct both internal, external and statutory reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labour statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources.
- The role will look at various data indicators and inputs such as employee relations, Work, Health and Safety, Visas and Immigration, Gender Reporting, People Data, Remuneration, Pay and Conditions, and ad-hoc requirements.
- Analyses data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Assist HR leads to prepares reports of data results, presenting and may be involved in explaining findings to senior leadership.
- Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
- Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
- Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
- May guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
- A key element of the role will be administration and expertise in ensuring HR Systems are being utilized at optimal levels and supporting the HR communication ecosystem.
- The role requires proactive approach to understanding business requirements and relationship building and partnering with the HR team to deliver on key priorities, projects and BAU elements.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or statistics.
- Professional certification in data analytics will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in People systems administration, data analysis, and reporting.
- Proficient in working with HR systems, such as PeopleSoft or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills as relationship building are key.
- Strong in MS excel and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and people analytics methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets.
- Strong critical thinking skills is essential.
- Ability to “connect the dots”.
- Understanding of People processes and practices, including talent acquisition, retention, performance management, compensation, and employee engagement.
