Our client is looking for a Research Scientists who has a deep understanding of wireless technology to drive the state-of-the-art for AR/VR products. You’ll be joining a Global IT Company that develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. In this role you’ll be working with the US Team to create the state-of-the-art for AR/VR products.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will be working with the Wireless New Technology Introduction and cross functional teams to help drive product design decisions
• You will be responsible for researching, developing and prototyping of new wireless technology in AR/VR devices
• Support the design of hardware prototypes and data collection studies
• Apply signal processing and machine learning tools to analyze datasets
• Develop demonstrations to cross-functional teams
• Communicate results to a wide range of audiences

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on wireless technology
• Prior experience in topics related to:
  o antenna technology (antenna/metamaterial design, simulation tools, VNAs)
  o radio-frequency techniques (SDRs, radar architectures)
  o signal processing and machine learning (radar processing, perception algorithms)
• Proficient in electromagnetic simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, or equivalent
• Experience with software development in Matlab, Python, or equivalent
• Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
• 4+ years of experience in Research

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to communicate complex research in a clear, concise and actionable manner
• Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications
• Familiarity with VR, MR, AR platforms
