Introduction to the Role:

We are looking for a Market Risk Advisor as part of operationalizing and building out the Market Risk Management Framework for the commercial team. The role will work very closely with the Sales & Marketing, Digital and Finance teams.

The Position:

• Work closely with Trading to report mark-to-market P&L and Risk positions on a daily basis.
• Perform detailed data analytics to identify and explain risks and P&L drivers
• Monitor risk and position limits and raise any limit breach in accordance with Market Risk Framework.
• Active discussions with trading and risk teams around trading strategy and trading positions
• Perform monthly risk review for the assigned book, to explain risk and performance based on trading book strategy.
• Support the team on CTRM system implementation
• Support due diligence, review and implementation on new transactions and/or trading activities
• Initiate continuous improvement and automation in the reporting process.

The Candidate:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in physical commodity trading and risk management
• Good understanding of Risk Reporting
• Demonstrated history of being able to adapt and acquire new skills
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player
• Contribute to the creation of trading risk and performance analysis and implement/operationalize this.
