About The Opportunity
As a Patient Care Ambassador, you will be a key member of our Clinic and Medical Centre, being the face of the Medical Centre, as well as handling administrative tasks and contributing to the smooth operation of our facility.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage administrative tasks such as patient registration, appointment scheduling, and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Operate the clinic CMS (Clinical Management System) for patient registration, data entry, retrieval of medical records, and generate reports based on test results for doctor’s review
- Handle billing and cashiering duties, including processing payments and issuing invoices or receipts.
- Introduce and explain medical services and pricing to patients in a professional manner, seeking opportunities to upsell when appropriate
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring and replenishing medical supplies and ensuring proper stock levels.
- Assist with providing basic medical screening procedures such as taking patient height/weight, administer vision tests, taking blood pressure etc. and phlebotomy (if qualified), or other clinical tasks.
- Ensure a clean and welcoming environment in the waiting area and examination rooms.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients, answering enquiries and phone calls, and addressing concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Collaborate with the Centre Manager and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate the smooth flow of operations.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Stay updated on clinic policies, procedures, and services to provide accurate and up-to-date information to patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills Required:
- Diploma or Nitec with at least 2 years of prior experience in a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role
- Proven experience in performing clinic duties and administration of health screening tests
- Familiarity with operating a clinic CMS system and preparing medical reports
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage administrative tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in recording patient information and test results.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle potentially stressful situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions and provide appropriate care.
- Having a certification in Phlebotomy will be an advantage
