Job description
The Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst executes mergers/acquisitions, advising companies on financial restructuring, discussing strategic alternatives geared towards competitive growth and performing valuations and exercising due diligence in facilitating the closing of a deal.
- Analyse the financial models and valuation of business to arrive at an acceptable price for the deal and draw consensus on the commercial terms.
- Conduct due diligence and finalise the negotiation.
- Conduct pre-deal planning for merger and acquisition activities.
- Develop the necessary transactional and legal documents.
- Leverage on relationships and networks with existing clients and to originate deals.
- Manage closing activities.
- Perform Know your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) checks on clients in accordance with established policies and procedures for prevention of financial crimes and represent business in resolving compliance matters related to client acceptance.
EDUCATION
- Degree in Economics or Finance & Accounting or equivalent
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in mergers & acquisitions analysis in a sizeable company in a consumer or engineering industry
- Pleasant, eloquent with excellent communication skills
- Teamplayer
- Good with numbers
