The Senior Inside Sales Manager leads the Inside Sales team and/or partners with Marketing to provide strategic direction and drive accountability.
The Senior Inside Sales Manager will collectively drive standardization to define and achieve sales and margin goals while driving Inside Sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Responsibilities
- Drive and continuously improve Inside Sales KPIs to ensure customer satisfaction
- Work with the team to balance workloads and headcount
- Define processes to handle additional responsibilities assigned to sales
- Serve as coach and mentor to inside sales leadership
- Partner with Inside Sales Manager to determine monthly/annual sales and gross profit plans
- Serve as a point of escalation to ensure customer issues are resolved promptly
- Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to plan, lead, and execute corporate strategic initiatives
- Engage with the team to develop and nurture internal working relationships and ensure alignment of key strategies and tactics (sales, margin, EBITDA)
- Spearhead large projects to implement best practices involving branch and potential component stocking programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 4 years experience required inside sales management as a Manager leading a team in a B2B business
- 2 years of training and developing a sales force.
- Strong professional sales and consultative skills, ability to coach and mentor growing sales team.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of business and management principles, including resource allocation, leadership and coordination of people and resources.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to function effectively in cross-functional work environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, math, and persuasion skills.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Strong background and track record in managing creative sales initiatives.
- Knowledge of wholesale distribution products and markets is preferred.
