Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in optimal working conditions
Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards in lab procedures
Develop and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with best practices and industry regulations
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies such as Ministry of Health (MOH) and Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC).
Conduct regular audits and participate in accreditation processes.
Supervise and participate in ART procedures, including IVF, ICSI, embryo transfer, embryo biopsy, cryopreservation, thawing etc.
Ensure the accuracy of gamete and embryo handling to maximize success rates.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the embryology team.
Train, mentor, and evaluate junior embryologists and lab technicians.
Facilitate professional development opportunities and foster a supportive learning environment
Stay updated with advancements in embryology and incorporate new technologies and protocols as appropriate.
Ensure proper communication on results and provide information to patients and medical staff.

Responsibilities:
To handle sperm preparation, selection and culture of oocytes and embryos, freeze/thaw gametes and embryos, embryo transfer and carry out ICSI and other types of ART procedures when required.
To assist in all other aspects of the IVF laboratory including its maintenance, cleanliness, sterility and the indenting, purchasing and keeping stock of consumables and frozen gametes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies such as Ministry of Health (MOH) and Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC).
Maintain accurate records of all laboratory procedures, specimen handling and patient data.
To keep abreast with Reproductive technologies and techniques. This includes the reading of the journals and participation in trainings, workshops, seminars and conferences.
To be totally committed in producing good fertilisation and pregnancy rates.
To assist in data analysis for all ART relevant statistics.
To perform quality control and quality assurance activities of lab.
To communicate with Clinicians and clinical staff regarding the progress and status of each case.
To provide patient updates, explanations of embryo quality and developmental stages.

Requirements:
Applicant must possess at least a BSc in Biomedical Sciences / Biotechnology or equivalent.
Applicant must be an authorised embryologist under MOH Singapore.
Preferably candidates with a minimum of one (3) years of related experience.
Able to work weekends and public holidays on a rotation basis to accommodate the IVF treatment cycles.
Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
