Responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of database administration to meet the business needs and service level
Oracle:
- Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters)/ASM (Automatic Storage Management)/OGG (Oracle Golden Gate)/Exadata/ODA
- Installation, Configuration, administration and operations support of Oracle Golden Gate
- Troubleshooting of Performance and tuning problems in Oracle database using tools like AWR, ADDM
- Supporting Grid Infrastructure (Clusterware, ASM, Disk Groups)
- Install, configure and manage oracle on Unix will be an added advantage
- Provide continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, historical and real time performance monitoring of the oracle
- Evaluating and installing new software releases, patches and system upgrades
- Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of database tuning: software configuration, memory usage, data access, SQL and physical storage
- Establish and maintain documentation and standards
MSQL:
- Clustering, database mirroring, replication and log shipping configuring and troubleshoot issues
- Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues,
- Blocking and deadlocking issues
- Performance tuning, query optimization, using performance monitor, SQL
- Profiler and other related monitoring
- Detect and troubleshoot SQL server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention
- Backups, restore, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands
- Implementing operational automation
- SQL database operational support
- Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, spns, storage components
- Configure and maintain dataset server and processes including monitoring of system health and performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering, IT or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of Windows Platform and Linux Platforms such as RedHat and Oracle Linux.
- Min 2 years’ experience in Oracle Database Management (12c/19c)
- Experience in Backup/Recovery
- Knowledge in supporting Exadata and ODA
- Strong experience of RMAN, GRID control
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Linux shell scripting/PowerShell.
- Min 2 years of experiences in database management support in MS SQL Server environments
- Strong experience in Database Administration in SQL Server (2014, 2016, 2017)
- Knowledge of SQL server tools (profiler, SSMS, DAC)
- Strong knowledge of indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching, statistics, created and managed effectively
- Experienced in CIS hardening is an added advantage
