We are looking for a Market Manager to grow and manage our client’s commercial activities in Singapore in the food service and food retail markets. The candidate will work hand-in-hand with the Asian team as well as the French Headquarters of our client.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop an understanding of the food retail universe in Singapore to support and challenge the client’s distributors;
· Develop its own network in the Food service and hospitality industry by being the French gastronomy expert of the brand;
· Visit prospects to promote the products and recruit new customers in the pastry and beverage market (hotels, bakeries, cafés, restaurant chains, etc.);
· Support existing customers by regularly offering them new solutions and new ideas for their menus;
· Manage key accounts by ensuring the follow-up of projects in collaboration with the R&D teams, industrial, marketing and supply chain teams in France and other Asian countries;
· Identify and propose new products adapted to Singaporean market.
· Collaborate & manage local importers to support them in their business development, order follow-up and inventory management.
· Define strategic development plan long term for the group
· Define ambitious sales plans and achieve sales targets and ensure reporting to the head office in France and to the zone managers;
· Organise events and culinary shows with the support of the client’s technical team (chefs, pastry chefs, baristas, …)
· Collaborate with the Asian team and France to be inspired, deploy and adapt best practices;
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in Marketing or Business;
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in the marketing of gourmet food products ideally both in food service and retail;
- Experience in client account management;
- Good working knowledge of the French gastronomy allowing to highlight the strengths of the client’s products;
- Goal oriented and self starter personality;
- Strong affinity for business development & excellent ability to listen, analyse and convince;
- Able to work independently and adaptable personality;
- Language skills: Fluent in French in order to communicate daily with and report to the French speaking team in HQ and Asia, Fluent in English for liaising with clients and partners.
