Job Summary:
- We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Procurement Assistant Manager to lead and enhance procurement operations within an established organization. The role focuses on aligning divisional procurement strategies with overarching corporate policies, ensuring governance and operational transparency, and driving value creation through optimized procurement processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a stable and competitive supplier base while implementing best-in-class procurement systems and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing and Analysis: Perform spend analysis and supply market intelligence studies to develop and support procurement strategies, including annual planning and sourcing initiatives.
- Cost Optimization: Drive procurement cost reduction efforts and identify opportunities for efficiencies, quality improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Policy Alignment and Compliance: Implement divisional procurement processes in alignment with corporate policies (GPPA) and ensure strict compliance with governance standards.
- Tender Management: Manage tenders in accordance with established policies, making recommendations to the Tender Committee and ensuring fair and transparent processes.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Oversee supplier classification, performance monitoring, and contract management to ensure a stable, competitive, and compliant supplier base.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand business requirements and align sourcing projects with organizational goals.
- Digital Transformation: Lead the digitization and automation of procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership.
- Responsible Sourcing: Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with ethical, social, and environmental standards. Collaborate with suppliers to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Capability Development: Provide training and build awareness on procurement best practices and responsible sourcing within the organization.
- System and Process Enhancement: Evaluate existing procurement systems, recommend enhancements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reporting and Transparency: Track and report on procurement performance, including responsible sourcing metrics and supplier performance indicators, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
- Procurement Professional Certification will an advantage
- Min 6 - 8 years of experience in procurement
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Liberate in computer application
- Key competencies: Contract Management, Policy Development, Procurement Process, Vendor Management, Analytical skill, People Management
