Basic qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, Cloud Architect, Service Delivery Manager etc.

This role is with our AWS Frontier Operations team – delivering a new way of bringing Cloud Infrastructure directly to our customers. AWS Outposts brings native AWS services, solutions, and operating models to virtually any data center, collocation space, or on-premises facility around the world.

Through Outposts, AWS customers can now use AWS APIs, tools, and infrastructure within their own premises and across the AWS cloud to deliver an unmatched experience. Fully-managed, maintained, and supported by AWS teams, AWS Outposts provide our customers with direct and local access to the latest AWS solutions as well as the customer support to which AWS customers are accustomed.

We are looking for a highly-driven and customer-oriented Data Center Engineer who will oversee all infrastructure-related tasks associated with installing and maintaining Outposts in customer premises and/or colocation partner data centers within the region. This includes ownership and accountability for the following efforts: building management systems (BMS), security protocols, access controls, power supply and resilience efforts, cooling systems, site hygiene, fire detection and control systems, preventative periodic maintenance (PPM), and all environmental aspects of the data center in which the Outposts units will be installed.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Finance Analyst to be key member supporting the APJ Commercial Sales business as part of the APJ central finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon. As a Finance Analyst, you will work closely with the Sales, Strategy, Finance and business leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements, and identifying paths to improve the overall planning and forecasting process. Primary responsibilities include:

• Support the APJ Sales and Finance Leadership team on short- and long-term financial planning and FP&A responsibilities.
• Build financial models for new business concepts and go-to-market plans.
• Present financial summary and business insights to senior management.
• Tighten internal controls for program spending and revenue accrual.
• Execute ad hoc analysis based on business priorities.

The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

As an AMS Cloud Architect, you will be the technical resource to help our largest customers navigate the operational challenges of cloud computing. You will be an adviser, supporting the customers’ effort to identify good candidate workloads from their application pipeline and offer AMS specific advice on their architecture to ensure they are getting the full value of the AMS feature set. You will be the person people seek out as a resource to solve difficult problems. You possess customer facing skills that enable you to represent AWS well within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding incidents, trade-offs, best practices, and risk management. You will constantly seek out new ideas and technologies that you can use to deliver a higher quality service.

You will be accountable for providing our customers with an exceptional AMS Operations experience. You will possess excellent customer facing communication skills. You will represent AMS within the customers’ environment and drive discussions at multiple levels within the customer organization to Senior Leaders at the C level, technical personnel and management regarding incident management, trade-offs, best practices, and risk management.

· Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
· Engage customers - collaborate with Customer Service Delivery Managers, Account Teams and Technical Delivery Managers to develop strong customer and partner relationships.
· You will engage directly with AMS and AWS service teams to be the voice of the customer and work with internal AWS resources to drive innovation, feature request, and resolution to customer impacting bugs and/or issues.
· Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AMS Cloud Architecture community.
· Assist in building AMS Operational service offerings and processes that demonstrate the value of well operated in the cloud.
· Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as blogs and whitepapers.

Basic qualifications

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
• 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
• 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
• 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
• Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Managed Service provider - managing IT environments on behalf of customers.
• Computer Science Degree
• MBA degree, or strong understanding of business strategy ·
• Large Enterprise experience
• Experience and Certification in ITIL and or Dev Ops · AWS Solution Architect Professional Certificate, AWS Developer Professional Certificate
• Programming experience, Python, PowerShell, etc.
• Strong understanding of how IT solutions impact business Strategy
• Experience with automation to deploy and manage infrastructure, database and networking architectures for Internet-scale applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, which will be key in driving customer and internal communications with all key stakeholders
