Job Overview
Reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) Manager in Amcor’s Flexibles Asia Pacific headquarters (“HQ”) Finance team. The Finance Analyst position is a maternity cover whom has responsibilities centered around business planning and analytics as well business partnering with the regional Business Units (“BUs”) and Business Group (“BG”) functions.
Principal Accountabilities
Planning – Assist during the BG Strategic Planning and Budgeting processes. Liaise with the BUs on inventory, capital expenditures and other operational assumptions. Help to ensure key deliverables are met on-time and in-full.
Business Partnering – Coordinate Finance activities within the Amcor functional programs such as Procurement and Operations Excellence. Review BU capital expenditures requests and provide analysis to assist with measuring sales and operational performance. Ad-hoc support as required during BG strategic projects/initiatives.
Reporting – Key contributor to the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes. Examples include consolidation of the lease reporting, capital expenditures, inventory reporting as well as managing the Capex system approvals and BU support.
Internal Controls – Support efforts to ensure ongoing compliance with Regional, BG and Corporate reporting timelines, policies, procedures and internal controls. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Business Process Analytics, risk compliance checklist, balance sheet reconciliations, and providing information to both Amcor Corporate and external auditors.
Qualifications/Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field required • Understanding of ERP environment
• Previous FP&A role
• Knowledge of Hyperion reporting tool, US GAAP or IFRS
• Experiences of leading continuously improvement projects
Job Specific Skills and Abilities
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software required • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential
• Must be highly analytical, have the ability to think creatively, and to understand complex business dynamics
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
