Corporate Affairs and Communications is seeking for an experienced, dynamic storyteller to bring the powerful backing of American Express to life. This role focuses on creating compelling narratives across colleague communication platforms, company owned channels and media to strengthen connections with customers and prospects. The CA&C team is responsible for telling the company’s story across traditional and social media, and through internal communications.
Reporting to Director of CA&C Southeast Asia, this role is focused on amplifying the company’s presence and reputation, and helping our businesses achieve its goals in Singapore, Thailand, and throughout the SE Asia region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute external communication strategies to enhance brand reputation and visibility in Singapore and Thailand.
- Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, handling media inquiries, and building relationships with key journalists and influencers.
- Manage content creation for external platforms, including social media.
- Manage our social media community, maintaining and monitoring our social media channels to ensure content is always on brand and comments are responded to promptly. The successful candidate will also create content for our channels to keep our followers engaged with our brand.
- Develop and implement internal communication plans to engage employees in Singapore
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with business priorities.
- Organize and support internal events, including town halls, employee engagement initiatives, and leadership communication sessions.
- Serve as the primary communications contact for Thailand, managing all communications independently while ensuring alignment with regional and global strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or Social Media
- 3-6 years of experience in corporate communications, with a mix of external and internal communications responsibilities.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, compelling content for diverse audiences. (candidates will be asked to take a written test)
- Experience in managing media relations and digital communication platforms.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in Thai language is a significant advantage to support market-specific needs.
- Knowledge of Southeast Asia’s media landscape particularly in Singapore and Thailand a plus.
