Key Job Responsibilities:
- Create new service project job number in ERP.
- Assess the customer request and offer advice on the right solution depending on the maintenance contract / warranty.
- Collaborate with the Field Service Engineers’ / Supervisor to determine the number of hours, personnel, and parts and equipment needed for service visits.
- Prepare job order and vessel schedules to Service Engineers with complete work instruction of the assignments and process everything in the relevant systems.
- Hold a debriefing with the Service Engineer(s) regarding the work schedule.
- Inform customers of service work progress and handle all communication related to services requests with customers.
- Ensure proper documentation of work done & manage invoice settlement without delay.
- You approach customers proactively to optimize the order book.
- Assist Manager draft quotation to customer’ enquiries and manage all customers' enquiries professionally and timely. (e.g. sending service reports and other documents follow up etc.).
- Provide project management support to service managers to assist in managing service projects, attend customer meetings etc.
- Partner with the Sales Department for possible sales opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety & environment regulations.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department.
Authorities
- Point of contact for customer requests, scheduling & dispatching service technicians, assessing the urgency of the customer's call.
- Calculate, prepare, and send out service quotations and technical proposals and ensure that enquiries are turned into job orders.
- Manage service work hours optimally so that there are no excess manhour billings.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics / Automation, and instrumentation Engineering.
- Must possess 2-3 years of experience in the service coordination roles.
- Excellent academics and technical knowledge in marine field.
- Should be able to read, write & speak in English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer proficiency, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP (SAP) are advantages.
- Required to work beyond normal office working hours
