As a Senior Social Media Manager, you will manage agency client accounts, offering strategic leadership, innovation, and oversight. You will play a key role in shaping and executing social media strategies across multiple platforms (META, TikTok, YouTube), optimizing ad buys, and driving client success. You will lead campaign planning, collaborate with the team, and report on performance, ensuring the agency delivers top-tier results for clients. You will also mentor junior team members and help refine internal processes to improve efficiency and results.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Management: Lead agency client accounts, providing strategic direction, creative input, and consistent client support. Ensure each client receives tailored, high-impact social media strategies.
- Ad Buys & Campaign Optimization: Take ownership of ad campaigns across META, TikTok, and YouTube, including budgeting, execution, and optimization to achieve key performance indicators and meet client goals.
- Campaign Planning & Leadership: Lead the end-to-end process of social media campaigns, from planning to execution. Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with objectives, targeting the right audience, and delivering results.
- Mentorship & Team Collaboration: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior social media team members, helping to elevate their skills and performance. Collaborate with the creative and content teams to ensure campaign execution is seamless and on-brand.
- Client Relations & Strategy Development: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term relationships. Regularly communicate campaign progress, provide strategic insights, and proactively address client needs and concerns.
- Performance Reporting & Analytics: Prepare detailed reports on campaign performance, using data insights to drive optimizations and inform future strategies. Provide actionable recommendations based on data and performance metrics.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of social media trends, continuously improving our agency’s strategies and creative output. Recommend new tools, technologies, and tactics to enhance our social media services.
- Deadline & Time Management: Lead the team in managing tight deadlines, ensuring quality work is delivered on time and in line with client expectations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 6+ years of experience in social media management, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role, ideally from an agency background.
- Proven expertise in managing ad buys across META, TikTok, and YouTube with a strong understanding of ad optimization, budget management, and performance analysis.
- Deep knowledge of FMCG and retail products, with the ability to tailor social media strategies for these industries.
- Strong experience in writing compelling and relevant social media captions that align with a client’s voice, brand, and marketing objectives.
- Exceptional communication and client management skills, with a proactive approach to relationship building and problem-solving.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in performance reporting, campaign analysis, and the ability to optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Strong creative thinking and the ability to bring new, innovative ideas to social media strategies and campaigns.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with social media management tools, ad management platforms, and analytics platforms.
- Expertise in managing influencer campaigns and collaborations.
