Accounts Clerk Job Scope
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks, including invoicing, payment processing, and follow-ups.
- Verify and process expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare and submit GST and other regulatory filings in a timely manner.
- Provide support during audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
- Maintain a proper filing system for financial documents and records.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with the preparation of payroll by collating necessary data and maintaining confidentiality.
- Respond to internal and external queries related to accounts and financial processes.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and clients to resolve account discrepancies.
Other Responsibilities:
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Prior experience in accounting or finance is an advantage.
