Accounts Clerk Job Scope

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
2. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
3. Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks, including invoicing, payment processing, and follow-ups.
4. Verify and process expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
5. Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
6. Prepare and submit GST and other regulatory filings in a timely manner.
7. Provide support during audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
8. Maintain a proper filing system for financial documents and records.

Administrative Duties:

1. Assist with the preparation of payroll by collating necessary data and maintaining confidentiality.
2. Respond to internal and external queries related to accounts and financial processes.
3. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and clients to resolve account discrepancies.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Support the finance team with ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks.
2. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
3. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
4. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
5. Prior experience in accounting or finance is an advantage.
