Apple’s Pacific Supply Demand Management (SDM) group is responsible for the finished goods planning for the entire Pacific Region (Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and Japan). By using both Supply and Demand levers, we aim to position products at the right place, right time, at optimal cost to maximise end consumer sales and achieve customer satisfaction.
An opportunity exists for a bold, highly motivated senior manager to join the SDM team as the Watch Line of business Lead. Reporting to Regional SDM functional lead, you will lead the Watch SDM planning team driving the people and business goals.
10+ years of work experience in Operations or Planning Management role. Preferably in FMCG or High Tech environment.
Established leader able to operate in dynamic and ambiguous environments. Leading through ambiguity and develop effective action plans
Ability to communicate clearly and calmly even under high stress/workload situations
Experience in managing and developing managers holistically - functional, cultural and leadership skills
Able to promulgate and shape culture in large teams
Thinks strategically and influence decision to craft regional execution
Ability to dwell into details of planning process, systems and deliverables
Excellent analytical skills, details oriented and meticulous with strong business sense

Business
- Ensure team maximises sell through using both supply and demand levers while maintaining lean inventory and minimising costs
- Strategic Planning for team organisation, resourcing and capabilities
- Maintaining relationships and partners' expectations across a wide range of partners teams: Operations Senior Leadership both in Region and Worldwide, Sales and Finance leadership in region, senior leadership in OEM Operations teams
- Drive strategic business goals within region, including cross-functionally with partner Ops teams
- Help identify and drive business improvement opportunities to maximise sell through
- Drive direct ownership of key business events for example:
- Product transitions: planning for end of life product and new product introduction
- Fiscal Quarter End Management: planning, forecasting and implementing inventory plans
- Implementation of project, systems and initiatives within Watch team
People
- Demonstrated history of leadership characterized by humility, balance, and a multifaceted approach, including strategic vision, inclusivity, servitude, commitment to individual development, and achievement of business/organizational goals
- Strategizing for business continuity and succession planning
- Organising Watch managers and planners to efficiently balance business and individual development goals
- Offering coaching to managers under your purview and collaborate on their career development plan
- Proactively identify business process improvement/automation opportunity and look head to mitigate hurdles
Education & Experience
BA/BS degree in Business or related field, MBA or equivalent degree preferred
