In this role, as a Material Management Specialist you will be responsible for NPI build material readiness and inventory management for new products and technology development.

Description

Manage and support material flow for New Process Introduction (NPI) projects. The role includes overseeing both direct and indirect BOM (Bill of Materials) material inventories, coordinating shipments, managing process related consumables and ensuring continuous improvement of material operations. Preferred candidate is a strategic problem solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to respond on changes and assist NPI team for engineering development builds. Key responsibilities are as follow:

Direct BOM Material Inventory:

• Receive, track, and organize incoming materials.
• Manage packaging pending for quality inspection (IQC).
• Endorse materials to Direct Responsible Individuals (DRIs) or kitting area.
• Maintain and organize material inventory, including IQC, build, and remaining stock.
• Plan and kit materials per BOM/configuration at the respective line racks.

Indirect BOM/Miscellaneous Material Inventory:

• Consolidate and manage indirect BOM materials.
• Manage the purchasing and inventory of process-related consumables.
• Shipment Coordination: - Prepare DHL shipment forms.
• Handle packaging and shipment logistics, including secure shipments.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously enhance material system flow and operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in manufacturing management or equivalent experience / skills
• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in supply chain management or logistics, specifically in inventory management, shipping, and handling of both direct and indirect materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel) and the ability to quickly learn new software to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, facilitating clear coordination with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions in dynamic environments.

The individual in this role will lead the planning and execution of APAC regional digital merchandising strategies for new product launches, programs including Apple Trade in, Apple Care, and Apple Retail Value Propositions, and Retail Learning Video content across the Apple Store Online and the Apple Store App. The individual in this role will leverage a deep understanding of business goals, commercial programs, customer journeys and friction points to continuously optimize the digital shopping experience.
 Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed merchandising strategies, briefs and plans for new product launches, programs and Retail Learning Videos in partnership with worldwide DE&M team, commercial teams, Marketing teams, Retail Contact Center and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with worldwide and regional cross-functional teams for product launches to ensure local relevance in merchandising, including navigation, content, curation, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with the Analytics teams to analyze data to extract actionable insights, and translate them into clear recommendations and plans.
• Work cross-functionally to understand the customer journey and implement strategies that enhance the digital shopping experience on the Apple Store Online and Apple Store App.
• Regular meetings with peers in AMR and EMEIA during overlapping business hours.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in digital merchandising, digital commerce, marketing, digital customer experience, or equivalent.
 Experience working closely with creative and UX teams to create innovative customer experiences.

• Proven track record of enhancing digital merchandising performance and digital customer experience through data-driven insights.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
