Job Title: QA/QC Engineer

Salary Range: S$3,400 – S$4800

Report to: QA/QC Manager

Min Qualifications / Experience :

1) Degree in Mechanical Engineering holder with 2-4 relevant experience

Job Skills Required:

1) Knowledge in Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point and

related spreadsheet software.

2) Must be able to work well with others in a team setting.

3) Ability to work independently.

4) Must be able to effectively handle many concurrent projects.

5) AWS, ASME AS, PD5500.

Duties & Responsibilities

a. Assist QA/QC Manager in the managing the QA/QC department.

b. Establish, implement and maintain the QC system for products that need to comply with ASME codes.

c. Prepare, control and maintain the QC Manual in accordance with ASME code.

d. Initiate quality programs and report to QA/QC Manager for the current product quality level.

e. Develop Inspection Test Plan (ITP), inspection and testing procedures.

f. Supervise and guide the team of QC inspectors and administrative assistant.

g. Control the usage of ASME stamps and review ASME’s MDR forms.

h. Maintain and control the welding procedures (WPS) and welder performance qualification records.

i. Any Adhoc assignment given by QA/QC Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

· Sourcing suppliers, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.

· Purchase goods, materials, components or services

· Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.

· Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.

· Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organisation.

· Liaising with suppliers on the delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time.

· Monitor market trends, provide analysis on costs.

· Prepare reports and updates as and when required.

· Work closely with others in the procurement function.

· Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.

· Prepare and raise purchase orders and blanket order.

· Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.

· Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.

· Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process.

· Conduct research for new components and suppliers.

· Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation.

· Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance.

· Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.

· Other task assigned by Procurement Manager/General Manager.

Purchaser Requirements

• O Level, diploma in business, logistics, or a related field may be required.
• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
