Job Description
The incumbent will be required to design, control, implement and optimize automation systems and solutions:

• Responsible to support Projects and Operations (90%).
• Participate in development, execution, and deployment of IoT automation Projects or Products.
• Evaluating products to collect data from sensors and integrate that data to the control system and/or platform.
• Perform test and evaluation activities on Process Control System independently or in conjunction with vendors.
• Participate or lead quality or safety investigations and implement any automation solutions resultant from these investigations.
• Provide training to end users on process control system.
• The role includes research and development (R&D) tasks.
• Support the R&D team in Singapore (10%).
• Improve, propose new and support existing and future hardware and automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or similar engineering field.
• Good working knowledge of electrical and electronics concepts and system set up.
• Working knowledge and experience with microcontrollers (e.g.: PLC, Relay, Edge computing, etc)
• Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, CANBus, EtherNet/IP, or similar.
• Working knowledge of a variety of hardware sensors and micro-electronics hardware.
• Enjoy building new hardware automation and control systems from ground up.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to engage with users in a professional manner and plainly present technical concepts.
• Hunger to learn new things and apply them.
• Ability to scale with new challenges outside of his/her area of work.

Responsible for all finance and accounting activities in the company, you will lead the team in the Finance & Accounting Department. You will also oversee investor relations functions of the company.

The key element of this role is to develop the team, processes, methods, and systems to improve the efficiency of the company, as well as expand both locally and regionally significantly.

You will work closely with the founder in analyzing financial performance, provide insights, and implement programs to drive profitability. This role entails managing the monthly closing process, budgeting and forecasting, as well as engaging investors and shareholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of projects and company by producing and presenting accurate financial reports to specific deadlines. Oversee the finance team and ensure timely closure of the monthly accounts.
• Responsible for statutory reporting and financial closing/reporting.
• Managing and developing the company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
• Drive fundraising efforts and investor relations.
• Developing and implementing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk.
• Monitoring, interpreting, and managing budgets and cash flows and predicting future trends.
• Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
• Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as IRAS.
• Providing and interpreting financial information as and when required.
• Oversee tax, internal controls, and audit-related matters.
• Responsible for financial reporting and consolidation for the Group of companies, local and overseas.
• Supporting the formulation of strategic and long-term business plans.
• Researching, analyzing, and reporting on factors influencing business performance. Run simulations and scenario analysis.
• Advising on and managing the set-up of Finance and accounting functions of affiliates (local and overseas).

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
• Must be a Certified Accountant (CA).
• Over 20 years of experience, with a preference for backgrounds in Finance or Operations. Experience dealing with venture capitalists (VCs), and audits are highly valued. Experience in aquaculture, IoT, and AI industries is advantageous.
• Proven team leadership experience, capable of managing diverse teams.
• Demonstrated strength in business operations, with the ability to work effectively in both local and international settings.
• Active involvement in the implementation of ERP systems is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, from entry-level employees to senior management.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, capable of contributing to the company's long-term planning and growth.

Job Overview

AquaEasy is seeking for an Accountant to join our team in Singapore office. In this role, you will act as a Business partner to advice on business operations related to accounting and costing.

Accounting

• Responsible for full set of accounts for AquaEasy
• Vendor and Customer master data approver
• Review monthly balance sheet and P&L
• Check and prepare payments to suppliers
• Maintain and update Chart of accounts when necessary
• Ensure compliance of local statutory reporting deadlines
• Liaising with internal and external audits and ensure all points are reviewed and closed
• Monitor and review bookkeeping service provider level of services (Bank Reconciliation, GL journal postings / reclassification, GST submission, advise on the external accounting system, payroll posting, monthly closing of accounts, creation of Monthly Financial Statement, AP function)

Finance, Tax and Controlling

• Liquidity Management (Transparency and cashflow forecasting, and ensure liquidity planning and cashflow is submitted timely)
• Tax (Ensure compliant to local tax regulation and liaise with Corporate Tax department for any tax related matters)
• Reporting (Ensure timely and accurate reporting to headquarters and EDB, monthly business review, current forecast, business plan, transfer pricing, and support adhoc reports requirement for different stakeholders)
• Analysis (Provide insights into the financial statements provided by our external bookkeeping services, work with different stakeholders to close the gap)
  • Cost controlling
• Other adhoc requests

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting related field
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in relevant field
• You must have good understanding of accounting, costing, Management reporting processes and be proficient in Oracle Hyperion, Xero and MS office.
• You must have experience in full-set of account knowledge.
• You should have good business partnering skills, advising business operations, stakeholder management and collaboration skills and with ability to work in a dynamic cross-cultural environment.
• You must be fluent in your oral and written English, be detailed-oriented and ability willing to work under pressure.
