The hiring company is an established brand in the FMCG industry, with strong footprints across South-East Asia. They are urgently hiring an Assistant Manager to manage their Indirect Procurement on a contract basis.
Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Indirect Procurement team, you will be responsible to support strategic sourcing activities and negotiations with suppliers on categories such as Store Construction, Maintenance and Visual Merchandising.
Your other responsibilities include:
- Lead & Execute end-to-end procurement processes for specific categories, spend or projects.
- Conduct thorough spend analysis, develop methodology and metrics tools to track progress
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to gather category requirements and specifications from departments and category subject matter experts
- Develop strategic sourcing / purchasing plans that support the future profitability of the business
- Ensure tactical execution of purchasing activities in the region
The Successful Applicant
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain or equivalent related studies
- At least 4 years of experience in Procurement or Category Management with experience in strategic sourcing and tenders
- Prior experience in managing categories such as Store Construction, Maintenance and Visual Merchandising be highly regarded
- Experience in the retail industry will be advantageous
- Able to start on a short notice due to urgency of the role
