Job Description:

We are looking for an Investment Research Intern to join our investment team. This role is perfect for fresh graduates or undergraduate students who are eager to dive into investment research (e.g. style factors), financial data analysis, and uncover its unique characteristics compared to other industries. The ideal candidate will have a passion for financial investment research (in stocks and futures), data and portfolio performance analysis, an analytical mindset, and a keen interest in the financial sector. We are seeking candidates with strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and programming experience, particularly in maintaining and refining existing Python code.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting investment research (e.g. factor research) using Python and/or spreadsheets.
• Utilize statistical methods and/or visualisation techniques to present findings clearly and compellingly.
• Support the investment team in preparation of presentation materials for internal discussions.
• Maintain and update existing data cleansing, investment portfolio construction and performance analysis codes written in Python.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in (Quantitative) Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical abilities, data manipulation skills, and a passion for working with data.
• Proficiency in Python, preferably with a focus on writing structured, class-based code.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about new technologies.
• Experience in SQL is a plus.
