Responsibilities
The Creative Designer will be part of a close-knit team to assist in the conceptualisation and implementation of fresh, inventive design solutions and powerful graphic visuals that form an integral part of immersive interactive experiences.
You will have authority in design decision making, strong visual communication skills, industry experience and understanding of real world environments. You will be expected to give art direction on projects and interface with clients directly on design-related queries, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
As part of an experience creation team, you are encouraged to seek out new products and maintain cutting edge industry knowledge relative to 2-dimensional design, printing techniques, interactive programming, and experiential opportunities in your job role.
Requirements
- Diploma in Arts or Design or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an in-house creative department or design firm
- Highly proficient in Adobe software such as Photoshop & illustrator
- Experience in multi-media, 3D programs such as Cinema 4D, MAYA as well as licensing products will be an added advantage
- Portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and experience design thinking.
- Knowledge of printing procedures, photography, illustration, and verbal and written communication.
- Strong conceptual skills, high-level sense of design, layout and typography, a broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design solutions.
Skills/Competencies:
- Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to solve problems through design and understand the live experience space.
- Ability to communicate concepts and iterate on designs, and work collaboratively with other members of the events team, product teams, and agencies in order to develop the most efficient design schemas.
- Ability to contribute in a cross-functional environment.
Special Considerations:
- Strong ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, as needed.
- May be required to travel to meet with clients for meetings or presentations.
- Will be required to be on-site during construction phase to advise on structure setup and placement.
