Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of advanced data solutions for our clients strategic financial services initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of structured finance, asset-backed lending, and expertise in modern cloud-based data architectures, particularly on Azure. This role requires exceptional skills in data modeling, analytics, and governance to enable the organization to leverage data for decision-making, innovation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Architecture Design:
- Develop and implement scalable, secure, and robust data architectures to support structured finance operations, including credit analysis, loan servicing, and portfolio management.
- Design data models and solutions aligned with Azure data services to optimize performance and reliability.
2. Cloud-Based Solutions Development:
- Architect and implement cloud-native data solutions leveraging tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
- Optimize the use of Azure Data Lake, ensuring secure storage, accessibility, and management of structured and unstructured data.
3. Data Integration and Pipeline Management:
- Design and manage ETL/ELT pipelines for seamless data ingestion, transformation, and integration across systems.
- Ensure real-time and batch data processing capabilities to support financial operations and analytics.
4. Data Governance and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.
- Implement robust data security measures to protect sensitive financial information in line with GDPR and MAS regulations.
5. Analytics and Reporting Enablement:
- Collaborate with business teams to design dashboards and visualizations for actionable insights, using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives for risk assessment and portfolio optimization.
6. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts, to align data strategies with business goals.
- Lead technical discussions, provide mentorship to junior team members, and manage vendor relationships.
7. Continuous Innovation:
- Stay updated on emerging trends in data architecture, cloud technologies, and financial services to recommend cutting-edge solutions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance data operations through automation and AI-driven insights.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years in the financial services domain, focusing on structured finance and lending.
- Proven experience with Azure cloud technologies for data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL.
- Strong skills in data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and working with structured and unstructured datasets.
- Hands-on experience with big data frameworks and analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Domain Knowledge:
- Understanding of credit evaluation, deal structuring, and regulatory requirements in the financial services sector.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks and financial performance metrics.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect.
- Certifications in data management or analytics, such as CDMP or equivalent.
