We are seeking an experienced consultant to support the implementation of voice and chat channel recording and surveillance systems across the APAC region. The role requires a business-driven mindset to assist in the delivery of robust technical solutions and required controls.
- Join one of the world's largest global banks on an 11-month contract, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs
- Requires 8+ years of experience, specializing in the implementation of voice and chat channel recording and surveillance, along with setting up necessary controls
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Management (Regional Level):
- Act as the primary liaison between business lines (COOs, Conduct & Control Officers, Front-Office Conduct & Surveillance) and Compliance teams.
- Collect, analyze, and document business scenarios related to voice and chat channels.
- Understand business interactions with clients and external counterparties to meet communication expectations.
- Identify risks and develop frameworks for risk management, user awareness, and consequence management.
- Establish and enforce RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) for stakeholder roles in process execution and controls.
- Work with IT teams (Voice, Chat, Archiving, Digital, IT Support) to ensure the delivery of technical solutions, including archiving, security, and surveillance controls.
Global Level:
- Collaborate with global teams to prioritize and plan solutions for the APAC region within the global Voice & E-comm Record Keeping (VERK) and Surveillance frameworks.
- Obtain validation for APAC plans from global stakeholders through established governance processes.
Project Management:
- Track functional project aspects such as business cases, operational controls, conduct risks, legal requirements, and training.
- Maintain synchronization with global and regional IT teams on archiving and surveillance solution deliveries.
- Report progress, address risks, and provide updates to senior management.
- Contribute to steering committee updates and ad-hoc presentations.
Required Competencies:
Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills: verbal/written communication, listening, negotiation, and consensus-building.
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy and completeness in management reporting.
- Analytical skills to assess scenarios, risks, and processes effectively.
- Proactive in problem management and owning deliverables.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of core banking businesses (e.g., Global Markets, Corporate Finance, Wealth Management).
- Familiarity with the technical aspects of voice and chat communication, recording, and surveillance systems.
- Proficiency with Office tools for document drafting, data analysis, and presentation of executive updates.
- Fluency in Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves liaising with users and regions where Mandarin language skills may be required.
