We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient cloud applications and architecture on Microsoft Azure. This is a 6 months contract to start with a potential to extend based on individuals performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure Cloud, microservices architecture, and enterprise-level application development, with a proven track record of guiding teams through the cloud migration and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture and design of Migration Factory Cloud components on Azure.
• Collaborate with vendor teams, CTOs, and cross-functional stakeholders to meet business and technical requirements.
• Ensure cloud applications comply with technology standards, policies, and security requirements.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures using Kubernetes, Kafka, Apigee, and other Azure services.
• Guide the integration of cloud applications with authentication and authorization systems (SSO, OAuth2, etc.).
• Lead discussions with governance bodies to secure architectural sign-offs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and security best practices for sensitive data and cloud infrastructure.
• Drive deployment automation using tools like Ansible and manage database integration (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
• Contribute to the development of Java and Spring Boot-based applications.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Azure Cloud Architecture and Design (Technical & Functional).
• Proven track record in developing scalable, resilient applications on Azure.
• AZ-900 and AZ-104 certification (preferred).
• Strong experience with microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Azure Key Vault.
• Knowledge of Minimum Enterprise Requirements (MER) and policies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and database integration (Oracle, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong network in the Cloud Architects community.

Preferred:

• Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with technology standards and systems.
