We are seeking an experienced regulatory and financial analyst on a 12 months extendable cotract role. This is on a project basis.
We are looking for a candidate with expertise in IFRS 17 and a background in the insurance industry, or candidates with Big 4 audit or consultancy experience, to join our team.
This role involves performing end-to-end analysis of business processes to identify gaps, enhance controls, and support the system change exercise. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining control strength and facilitating the stabilization of the financial reporting process post-system change, under guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess business processes to identify gaps and enhance controls in line with IFRS 17 requirements.
- Support system changes and ensure that financial reporting processes remain robust and compliant.
- Produce financial reports and develop strategies based on financial research.
- Guide senior executives with strategic decision-making for long and short-term goals.
- Monitor day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and transactions.
- Oversee the financial department, including assisting and managing financial assistants and accountants.
- Contract outside services for tax preparation, audits, and other financial needs.
- Track company’s financial performance, identify improvement areas, and propose methods to minimize financial risk.
- Research and analyze financial reports and market trends.
- Provide actionable insights to senior executives to aid in decision-making.
- Review and prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
- Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, and clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with IFRS 17 implementation in the insurance industry or Big 4 audit/consultancy experience.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and support system changes.
- Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset for financial management.
