We are looking for a motivated Marketing and Market Research Intern to undertake a crucial role in our strategic market analysis initiatives. Reporting directly to the Business Project Lead, this position focuses on leveraging the BCG Growth-Share Matrix to identify potential growth opportunities within our core categories. The intern will also collaborate with Key Account Management and Technical Marketing teams to develop value-added solutions for both current and prospective customers.
Responsibilities
Perform detailed market analysis e.g. using the BCG Growth-Share Matrix to identify and evaluate growth opportunities within the Transportation, Industrial, Consumer & Lifestyle, and Medical & Healthcare sectors.
Assist & Support in:
- Collaboration with Business Development, Key Account Management to understand customer needs and support the development of tailored marketing strategies.
- Work with Technical Marketing and Process Experts to formulate value-added solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.
- In the creation of strategic presentations and reports for internal stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
- Engage in project meetings and provide analytical support to the Business Project Lead and other team members.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with previous experience in using frameworks such as the BCG Matrix.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
Competencies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of market research, strategic analysis, and the manufacturing industry is an advantage.
