Designation: Assistant Human Resources (HR) Manager
Role Type: Permanent
Reporting To: Chief Workforce Officer
Office Location: Singapore, Central-West
Overview:
The ideal candidate for this Assistant HR Manager role will be an enthusiastic and energetic individual who will be an integral part of Asia Pacific (APAC) Human Resources team and reports directly to the Chief Workforce Officer. This role will support the full spectrum of HR operations in the organisation with particular focus in leading internal communications and employer branding initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
1) Internal Communication & Employer Branding
- Active involvement in planning and development of the Organisation Employer Brand strategy, supporting the production of relevant content for internal and external channels
- Responsible for developing and managing an internal communications framework which is consistent and deployable across all countries
- Develop employee communication & engagement content for the various internal platforms & channels (e.g. Corporate Intranet, Yammer, Townhall, etc.)
- Build a strong understanding of employees’ needs in order to improve employee experience and engagement
2) Talent Acquisition
- Gain a deep understanding of the Organisation Employee Value Proposition in the context of available roles, function, and local market
- Closely partner key stakeholders in understanding the business and hiring needs, and create job descriptions which are in line with the organisation’s branding and tone
- Identify sourcing avenues to support recruitment strategy and have full ownership of the recruitment process
- Develop remuneration proposals and handle job offer to prospective hires
3) Grievance Management, HR Relations, Policies, Operations and Administration
- Manage employee grievances and violations including disciplinary action when required
- Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
- Develop and/or enhance HR policies, procedures and programs across various areas such as employee health and safety ensuring compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws
- Liaise with external payroll vendor, providing all necessary data inputs and executing payments monthly
- Prepare periodic HR-related reports and support ad-hoc cross-functional data requests
- Oversee administration and record-keeping of the organisation’s HRIS System (SAP’s Success Factors)
- Assist Regional HR team in ad-hoc projects when necessary
4) Performance Management
- Support Performance Management related activities locally including annual evaluations, goal setting and on-going talent development programs
5) Capability Building
- Partner the regional HR team to identify required competencies for various functions, teams and individuals
- Identify appropriate learning/training programs and vendors as well as partake in the curation of relevant learning/training programs so as to ensure that their implementation meet required expectations
6) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- Identify relevant CSR opportunities that are aligned to regional priorities so as to contribute back to the community in Singapore & APAC
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in a Human Resources function
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related areas
- Creative with a flair for copywriting and language skills
- Solution provider with ability to navigate problems holistically and solve them with strategic mindset
- Partnership mindset that thinks and acts like business owners, with passion and enthusiasm coupled with empathy
- Inquisitive mind with a thirst for knowledge and gusto to ask relevant questions and challenge the status quo
- Self-starter who is willing to undertake projects coupled with strong team play
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and also meticulous and resourceful
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to build good partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
