We invite applications from highly motivated and committed individuals with experience in Malaysia in admiralty and shipping law, international trade disputes, marine insurance litigation, arbitration, ship sale and purchase, and ship financing) to join us as a Registered Foreign Lawyer.
We are looking for Singapore citizens or Permanent Residents who hold a law degree from overseas universities and who are qualified to practise in Malaysia or the UK. Our Foreign Lawyer takes on advisory roles in foreign law matters, and work closely with our lawyers.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Advising on a broad spectrum of marine, trade and commodities matters;
• Acting for commodities companies and ship owners, charters and operators;
• Being a key point of contact with local and global clients;
• Preparation of Court documents;
• Appearing and representing clients in Singapore court and arbitration proceedings;
• Updating and maintaining case files, including monitoring court timelines, and drafting of pleadings, applications, and affidavits;
• Electronic filing of documents via e-litigation and general administration work, including preparing court bundles
