Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in timely completion of production plan in maintaining and improving workmanship standards
- Scheduling and assigning adequate resources, monitoring progress, and resolving problem
- Report to the Senior Manager in reporting shift production status
- Key personnel in leading independently on discipline and planning for the manufacturing team
- Manage team's recruitment, appraisals and ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area with housekeeping standards for employees and ensure that they conform to safety rules and regulations
- Project - Lead and/or participate in lean and continuous project improvement initiatives
- Work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effectively communicated
- Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices and requesting/ implementing change.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in either a technical environment in aviation, capital equipment or manufacturing industry
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience for a team of technical staffs (technicians/ operators)
- Prior hands-on experience in equipment manufacturing (i.e. mechanical/electrical, troubleshooting)
- Able to perform a 3 month, 12 hour rotating shifts (Both day & night shift)
- Able to demonstrate good communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement projects (Lean/Kaizen) and demonstrate resource planning capability
