· To assist in delivering the strategic objectives of the Actuarial team and to provide a high quality and effective actuarial service, in line with the actuarial business plan and broader strategic objectives within Aspen.
· To collaborate with peers within the global actuarial function and other relevant business areas to deliver solutions to complex technical challenges through research and development of financial services industry best practice and actuarial analysis.

Specific accountabilities :
o Provide actuarial (re)insurance pricing capability to the London Casualty, Specialty and Property teams and perform credible account pricing seeking guidance as appropriate.
o Actively participate in portfolio analysis to monitor the use of pricing tools and contribute to the improvement of pricing methodologies, parameters and benchmarks.
o Develop a good understanding of the day-to-day application of actuarial techniques in (re)insurance pricing and best practices.
o Support the Actuarial function with business planning in collaboration with other business functions (including underwriting, claims and finance).
o Demonstrate a good understanding of the day-to-day application of actuarial techniques in pricing and best practices and effective articulation of the legal and regulatory demands that impact the actuarial pricing team, and the broader business, to contribute to decision making with regards to technical actuarial issues, risk appetite and underwriting strategy.
o Identify areas of opportunity for improvement within the designated product line and team on processes, documentation, and alternative approaches to (re)insurance actuarial pricing techniques and methodologies.
o Demonstrate an ability to be a source of knowledge for teams outside of the (re)insurance pricing teams, as an example but not limited to Aspen Group Risk team.
o Understand the importance of, and contribute to, effective collaboration with other teams in supporting the Actuarial function (including Reserving, Risk Management, Capital modelling, Business planning) and contribute to the implementation of process improvements and recommendations being cascaded down from actuarial senior leadership.
