The individual we seek is a sales professional who is a highly motivated, a self-starter with excellent business acumen and gravitas. A thorough understanding of executing a sales campaign from business development to closure and experience of managing strategic customers is required.

Job Description

• Responsible for developing and growing a pipeline of opportunities for AspenTech products within the mining vertical. Must be able to cold call and prospect to achieve pipeline goals.
• Responsible for pro-actively driving sales campaigns to new logo mining customers and to targeted strategic prospects in the Mining markets within assigned territory/country, expanding AspenTech’s customer base.
• Manage a group of experience Account Managers who are geographically dispersed.
• Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to executive management.
• Creating awareness in the Mining industry and attending trade shows for lead generation.
• Create, maintain and build senior level customer relationships.
• Sell with value propositions to senior management and/or plant managers.
• Develop and maintain good domain knowledge and competitive intelligence of machine learning, Smart manufacturing, and IoT.
• Develop and update the sales forecast and pipeline in Salesforce on a weekly basis.
• Achieve quarterly and annual sales quota.
• Liaise and work with departments within AspenTech (e.g. Finance, Operations, Legal Department) to achieve desired business results.
• Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, etc.
• Work as a team member on sales efforts involving global account opportunities.

Additional Job Description

• Bachelor's degree in a technical/ engineering field
• At least 20 years of software sales experience working with mining clients in Asia Pacific and Australia.
• Good understanding of surface and underground mining fundamentals.
• At least 5 years of experience leading a geographically dispersed sales team
• Ability to travel over 50% of the time when travel is authorized
• Experience in field business development and cultivating the mining market throughout this region.
• Familiarity with predictive & prescriptive maintenance and reliability risk assessment preferred.

The Director, Customer Success - APAC is responsible for building and leading a team of high performing Customer Success Managers (CSM). This person must have a strong track record on team leadership and maintaining strong high level (i.e. key decision makers, influencers and senior management) trusted advisor relationships. The Senior Director owns the overall Asia Pacific regional customer success performance, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and through teamwork, achieve strong renewals results.

Job Description

• Owns the regional CSM accounts performance –customer experience, journey (adoption and value capture) and renewal results for your assigned accounts.
• Focus on collaboration, teamwork and orchestrating company’s resources to drive customer successes.
• Demonstrate and lead the team to collectively and consistently deliver business impact and innovation to a customer's business by truly understanding our customers' key business issues and opportunities.

Additional Job Description

• Bachelor’s Degree in Process/Chemical Engineering is preferred.
• 12 – 15+ years of professional experience working in the process industry
• 10+ years of experience in Pre-Sales / Customer Relationship Management / Customer Success Management.
• Relevant experience in using AspenTech’s Engineering, Manufacturing solutions or similar software suites used in Process Industries.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Language proficiency in Chinese, Japanese or Korean will be required for accounts management and/or customers’ interactions.
• A verifiable track record of consistently meeting and exceeding revenue goals or business objectives.
• Proven ability to effectively facilitate, lead cross-functional teams and project manage.
• Experience with managing multi-million dollar portfolios.
• Skilled at building relationships with key decision makers, influencers and senior management within an account.
• Strong self-motivation, agility and business acumen.
