Hi there! We’re Atypicalfilms, a boutique film production company creating TV commercials. Right now, we’re on the lookout for an Assistant Producer to join our team.
If you’re someone who’s always five steps ahead, loves keeping the chaos organized, and secretly enjoys spreadsheets (don’t worry, we won’t tell), this might just be your jam. (Yes we were kidding about the spreadsheets, who really loves them?)
Here’s what you’ll be doing (yes, we know this list could rival Santa’s too):
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Organizing Like a Boss … for the boss: Keep schedules, call sheets, and production plans so tight that even perfectionists nod in approval.
- Budget Sidekick: Work with the Producer to make sure every dollar spent makes sense.
- Coordination Ninja: Help manage crews, cast, and freelancers, ensuring everyone’s in the right place at the right time—without the drama.
- Pre-Prod Powerhouse: Prep locations, and all the nitty-gritty that makes a shoot day run like clockwork.
- On-Set Superhero: Be the go-to person on shoot days, solving problems before anyone notices they exist.
- Paperwork Whisperer: Contracts, releases, invoices—you know the drill. It’s not glamorous, but it’s crucial to keep it all ticking.
- All-Round Support: Basically, be the producer’s right hand, left hand, and occasionally, their brain when things get hectic. Sometimes the Director too!
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in production (commercials preferred, but fresh grads with internships, hustle and great attitude are more than welcome!).
- A can-do attitude with a knack for figuring things out.
- Ridiculously organized (you probably have color-coded folders in your brain).
- Cool as a cucumber when the pressure’s on.
- A love for great storytelling and a keen eye for detail.
- Bonus points if you can MacGyver your way out of trouble, or bring random talents (e.g., barista skills, meme curation, or the ability to tame rogue printers).
