Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and Prospect:
• Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
• Generate leads and cold-call prospective customers.
2. Develop Relationships:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including customers, partners, and industry professionals.
• Nurture and grow partnerships to create mutual benefits and drive growth.
3. Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s customer base.
• Identify and prioritize business opportunities aligned with company goals and objectives.
4. Proposal Development:
• Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and sales pitches that articulate the value proposition of the company’s products and services.
• Negotiate and close deals to maximize revenue and profitability.
5. Market Analysis and Intelligence:
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
• Monitor and analyze market conditions, competitor activities, and industry developments.
6. Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with company objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize customer experience and satisfaction.
7. Reporting and Metrics:
• Track and report on key business development metrics and KPIs.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for management to evaluate performance and progress towards targets.
