Job Summary:
The Inflight Business Aviation Manager oversees all aspects of the inflight experience for business aviation clients, ensuring the highest levels of service, safety, and satisfaction. This role is responsible for managing the inflight crew, including pilots and flight attendants, as well as coordinating and maintaining all inflight operations for a fleet of business aircraft. The manager will collaborate with the flight operations, maintenance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inflight Operations Management:Manage the day-to-day inflight operations, including overseeing flight attendants, catering, and onboard service standards.
- Ensure compliance with all aviation safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards related to inflight services.
- Monitor and maintain the highest levels of inflight customer service, ensuring that each flight meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Work closely with flight crews to coordinate service delivery, provide briefings, and manage onboard issues or special requests.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of flight attendants and other inflight personnel, ensuring a high level of professionalism and service excellence.
- Organize training and development programs for the inflight team, ensuring familiarity with procedures, safety protocols, and customer service best practices.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support team members in achieving both personal and organizational goals.
Client Relations & Customer Service:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients with special inflight requests or requirements, ensuring tailored services are delivered to meet their needs.
- Work with the executive or charter teams to understand specific client preferences and ensure they are consistently met during flights.
- Address and resolve any client complaints or concerns related to inflight service, maintaining a positive relationship with passengers.
Catering & Supplies Management:
- Oversee the selection, coordination, and delivery of catering services, ensuring that all meals, beverages, and other inflight supplies meet client preferences and dietary requirements.
- Ensure the inflight team is stocked with appropriate supplies for each flight, and manage inventory of onboard items.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all inflight operations meet the necessary safety requirements as set forth by aviation authorities (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Work with the safety officer to review and implement safety procedures, conduct inflight safety drills, and ensure the inflight team is properly trained in emergency protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation regulations, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Collaborate with flight operations, maintenance, and scheduling teams to ensure smooth coordination of flight schedules and maintenance activities.
- Work with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures that improve inflight services, safety, and operational efficiency.
Budget and Financial Management:
- Assist in managing the budget for inflight services, including catering, supplies, and staffing.
- Monitor costs associated with inflight services and work towards cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business aviation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing inflight operations or crew management.
- Proven experience in managing inflight teams, providing customer service, and working in a high-pressure environment.
