Role Summary
As part of a team, the individual shall undertake system administration tasks and provide support services to users of our group wide NetSuite ERP system (One World). Your primary focus will be to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimisation of our ERP solution(s).
As NetSuite System Administrator, you will be responsible for day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of our NetSuite ERP system. This includes managing user access, technical troubleshooting, configuration, customisations, data integrity and providing ongoing support to end users (including issue resolution, answering questions about functionality, and providing guidance on best practices). Your efforts will play a crucial role in ensuring that the system meets the operational requirements of the organisation and that users have a positive experience with the system and can maximise its value for their business functions.
The role requires an in-depth understanding of ERP solutions, including customisation, scripting, and integration capabilities. Ideally suited to a person with a blend of abilities including strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, loyalty, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration:
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access levels.
- Configure system preferences, settings, and customisations according to business requirements.
- Monitor and maintain system modules to ensure the overall health, security, and performance of the NetSuite environment.
Configuration & Customisation:
- Customise forms, fields, records, workflows, and reports aligned to business processes.
- Implement and maintain integrations with third-party applications and systems.
- Develop and maintain saved searches, reports, and dashboards aligned to business requirements.
Data Management:
- Undertake data imports, exports, and migrations while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Adhere to data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality and compliance.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and perform routine data cleansing activities, as needed.
User Support:
- Provide ongoing support to system users, answering questions about functionality, troubleshooting issues, guidance on best practices and providing training, as needed.
- In support of our NetSuite Program Manager, create and maintain user documentation, training materials, and resources for the NetSuite platform and associated integrations.
- Collate user feedback and suggestions relative to system improvements and process improvements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation within our NetSuite platform and associated integrations.
- Stay informed about new features, updates, and best practices related to NetSuite and associated integrations.
- Working in support of the NetSuite Program Managers, collaborate with stakeholders and system users to understand their requirements and prioritise system enhancements based on business needs.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Proven experience as NetSuite Administrator or other ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of NetSuite functionality, including migrations, configuration, customisation, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and users at all levels of the business.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- At least 5 years’ experience in system administration roles with a strong emphasis towards service excellence and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Strong organisational skills - Ability to plan and prioritise.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Thinks outside the box on issues affecting AVTEL including customer, employee, and partner relationships.
- Makes decisions effectively (i.e., timely, with available information/ perspectives).
- Sets own goals and objectives easily and prioritises own responsibilities and assists others to identify personal goals and objectives including priorities reflecting team and group strategy.
- This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requires strong technical and people management skills.
- Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field would be advantageous.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NetSuite Administrator, ITIL Foundation) preferred.
