Job Description & Requirements
a. Communicate with Operations Supervisor/Marine Controller on operational matters, adhere to marine traffic management controls and provide alternatives on pending issues.
b. Follow the SOP in place for channel control and movement of transfer barges and log down all events in the relevant record books during watch duty.
c. Boarding of vessel to conduct quality and quantity checks and collection of sand samples.
d. Coordinate with Radio Room on the arrival and departure of barges.
e. Log down relevant events and timings pertaining to discharge operations and/or machinery/equipment breakdown.
f. Maintain close communication with vessel’s crew on board and provide assistance as necessary.
g. Report if any incidents that may occur i.e. machinery/equipment/barge break down.
h. In the event of adverse weather conditions or emergency situations, notify all the parties involved, deploy safety tugs to assist vessel till pilot and assist tugs arrive.
i. Assist in other administrative duties required by Operations Supervisor/Marine Controller.
j. Other adhoc duties as assigned.
k. Shift work
- Good exposure as an entry to marine industry.
- Shift Routine.
- Preferbly have driving license.
- Shortlisted candidate will be informed for interview.
