The azbil Group pursues "human-centered automation" as its core initiative for the purpose of contributing to people's safety, comfort, and fulfillment. Azbil is expanding its businesses in the areas of building automation, advanced automation for factories and plants, and life automation for essential services and people’s health and well-being. To further our growth, we are expanding actively in overseas markets and are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual to join our Advanced Automation team as a Regional Sales & Marketing Specialist. In this role, you will actively contribute to expand business in existing customers and developing new customers, articulating and promoting key differentiators and value propositions, as well as providing technical support in the Southeast Asia and India region. You are primarily responsible for collaboration with key stakeholders and effectively communicate with internal and external parties. This will be an office-based position in Singapore. Some regional travelling would be required.
Responsibilities
- Respond to technical customer inquiries and issues raised by affiliate sales or service teams, coordinating with the Technical/Product support team as needed.
- Provide on-site assistance to affiliates and customers for specific technical matters, ensuring their needs are met effectively
- Streamline and enhance sales tools, processes, and operations to improve sales and service capabilities within the region
- Organize and conduct regular meetings with related department in HQ Japan and expatriates in the regional offices. Create report (monthly and quarterly) to HQ on the progress of KPIs in the region.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute digital promotional strategies aimed at increasing customer leads and enhancing brand awareness in the region
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive regional coverage strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders in the region and headquarters
- Familiar with customer organizations in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical markets, specifically in areas such as Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance is preferred
- Conduct market research, provide feedback for assessment, and develop strategies for targeted market to generate new opportunities
- Drive product presentation and penetration with confidence with hunting mentality for new customers
- Provide hands-on Pre and Post Sales Technical Support for industrial automation solutions in the region
- Organize internal trainings for sales teams and technical trainings / seminars online or at customers’ sites
- Keep up to date with new product launches and acquire its technical knowledge
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent discipline in engineering science
- Good knowledge of control valve is required.
- Minimum five years of relevant working experience in the process control industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with HQ and the regional offices.
- Ability to communicate and read Japanese as the role requires a lot of communication with HQ and Japanese expatriates in the regional offices and understanding of new product information which may only be available in Japanese.
- Strong writing, presentation and facilitation skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Independent and effective team player who possess good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Keep abreast of industry standards and best practices and be willing to travel within Southeast Asia and India region
