Requirement
- Diploma or Higher qualification with extensive relevant experience in similar role and in-depth knowledge of international dry bulk trade operations and documentation of products like Iron Ore, Coal, Food Grain etc.
- Good Spoken & Written English (Mandarin/Hindi will be added advantage)
- Must have excellent written and oral business communication skill and ability to influence
- Strong understanding, knowledge and experience of shipping terms, trade terms, ICC publications UCP600, URC, URR, Incoterms and ISBP is essential.
- Must have proven skills of meeting agreed service levels, customer service standards within high volume, fast pace and challenging environment
- Experience of dealing in commodity derivatives and associated risk will be advantageous
- Conversant with relevant local and international compliance like OFAC, Sanctioned Countries etc.
- Experience of coordinating with banks for Trade Finance matters.
- To proactively coordinate with customers and suppliers for smooth trade cycle.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Power point
- Candidate must have multi-tasking skill, ability to meet timelines, strong commercial and legal acumen, team working, leadership, must maintain confidentiality and high integrity, must have problem solving approach.
- Must be ‘hands-on’ and go-getter in all trade documentation and operations matters.

Job Description:
- Handle all Trade documentations and negotiations (Import and Export)
- Monitoring and ensuring timely receipt, preparation, checking and negotiation of Import & Export Bills, Issuance of Import Letter of Credit, Checking workability of Incoming Export LC, LC confirmations/ Discount Rates, Receiving and Providing LC Amendments, SBLC, Inward/Outward Bills for Collection, Trust Receipt Financing and Discounting of Export Bills. Coordinate outward and inward payments, monitor payment due date.
- Ensure timely appointment of cargo surveyors at ports
- Ensure timely nomination for cargo marine/storage insurance
- Obtain discharge port results and negotiate second drawing / final payments within timelines
- Closely monitor vessel and cargo status on continuous basis
- Ensure that laytime, dead freight etc. are promptly sent out to parties and settled in timely manner
- Closely monitor buyers and sellers accounts balances, making sure that all receivables are collected on time
- KYC documentation with banks/buyers/sellers
- Proactively monitor and resolve all issues related to trade matters in coordination with stakeholders.
- Interact and coordinate with Traders, Accounts, Shipping, Insurance Companies, Port Agents, Surveyors, Buyers, Sellers, Banks and other agencies
- Maintain updated Trade MIS reports
- To send offers, counter-offers, draft contracts / amendments / LC draft / nego documents drafts, past shipments result, vessel updates etc. to parties including back-and-forth negotiation to finalize.
