Responsibilities:
Support the HOD in managing all aspects of risk involving market, liquidity, credit and operational risk.
Assure controls are operating effectively and assist in improving risk control management frameworks,policies,guidelines/procedures and communicating to stakeholders. Responsibilites include but not limited to the following:
- Primary reviewer in charge of new case review, and perform independent credit assessment of credit cases submitted by the front desk business department.
- Perform independent annual credit review of exisiting credit cases (ie. annual and ad-hoc credit reviews).
- Monitor the submission of annual credit reviews to ensure that all the existing credit files are reviewed promptly and timely.
- Perform the periodic risk reports (daily, monthly,quarterly,semi-annual and annual) in accordance with the Routine Report List, and complete credit risk related stress tests.
- Monitor and control market risk, such as FX exposure, bond price, interest fluctuation, hedge effectiveness and etc.
- Complete market risk analysis report,related stress test and provide recommendations to improve the branch's management of market risk.
- Assist in monitoring and control liquidity risk, complete the liquidity stress test and related analysis report.
- Manage the process for developing and enhancing risk policies and procedures, risk indicators, risk limits and approval authorities, to ensure they are in compliance with MAS regulations and policies of Head Office.
- Manage Head Office reporting and enquiries.
- Manage MAS enquiries, internal and external audit enquires.
- Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by the HOD and/or Management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of enterprise risk management experience predominantly in credit risk market risk, liquidity risk and operational risk in the banking industry.
- Possess a degree in finance with a Master degree in business administration preferred.
- Proficient in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel or other statistical tools, having ability in programming like VBA, Python etc is preferred.
- Proficient in Mandarin as incumbent having ability to review documents both in English and Chineses is also to correspond with Chineses corporates aas well as colleagues in Head Office.
- Analytical and strong quantitative skilss with good eye for detail.
- Have initiative spirits to conquer the new and complex problems.
- Ability to work under pressure and a good team player and group leader.
