The BOS Legal Counsel helps provide quality legal advice and support to the business units in BOS's Singapore office. As part of BOS Legal, the BOS Legal Counsel will report to the BOS Legal Team Lead, Transaction Advisory and BOS Head of Legal, Asia and provide legal advice, direction and guidance to the business units in BOS's Singapore office on legal and contractual matters. As BOS Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our legal risks are identified and managed. Tasks The BOS Legal Counsel: Holds him/herself to high ethical and legal standards. Monitors, manages and advises on legal and contractual matters concerning BOS's Singapore office, with primary focus on front and mid office legal matters such as client documentation, credit facilities, disputes and litigation. Works closely with business units to review and advise on legal impact of new business initiatives, as well as day to day matters. Engages and oversees external law firms when necessary. Draft and review non-standard documentation, review and advise on proposed amendments by clients/counterparties to BOS's standard documentation/ templates. Participates in relevant committees/ forums to ensure that legal risks are addressed. Qualifications A high level of integrity and responsibility. Good degree in law. Minimum 5 years PQE Have a strong background in private banking or wealth management legal work or litigation work. Strong collaboration, communication and analytical skills. Excellent stakeholder communication and management skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
